One Nine Elms is a 1.2 million sq ft, mixed-use riverside development in Vauxhall, south west London. The base and shell were designed by US practice KPF for client R&F UK and the project completed in July 2024.

The scheme is made up of two 42 and 57 storey towers connected by a first-floor sky bridge. The towers house commercial spaces, shops, restaurants, residential apartments and the 203-room Park Hyatt London River Thames hotel, which offers amenities including a ballroom, swimming pool and spa.

Fit-out case study: the Park Hyatt London River Thames hotel

Camden-based Studio Moren, an architecture and interior design practice specialising in the hospitality sector, was appointed hotel architect on the project.

The design team specified the Oscar Evo-Blade razor-edge trim from Oscar Acoustics for use throughout the hotel.

The product is a sleek alternative to the conventional ceiling upstand and creates a sharp, knife-edge transition between ceiling planes. It gives the illusion of a wafer-thin surface while allowing for any feature lighting design.

Evo-Blade can elevate any interior and is perfect for public spaces, high-end homes and luxury settings. Click on the video below to see how it works.

8 more reasons to specify Oscar Evo-Blade:

  • Crafts seamless and wafer-thin ceiling edges - no more bulky ceiling and wall build-ups.
  • Shallower angle makes it invisible, creating an infinity-edge ceiling illusion.
  • Prevents the cracking and discolouration commonly associated with other ceiling trims.
  • Achieves immaculate corners and straight runs with multiple aligning slots.
  • Minimises shadows and reflections when used as part of a feature lighting channel.
  • Aluminium finish can be powder-coated in any colour.
  • Works with standard plaster and acoustic sprays or acoustic plaster ceilings.
  • Manufactured in the UK.
