Ventilated aluminium facades for data centres

These power-hungry facilities generate lots of heat. Demountable louvred cladding that wraps around the outer shell of the building ensures fresh air for cooling, conseals the AC kit and can be adapted in the future

So many companies now rent servers from large data centres that the government has announced the facilities will be designated as Critical National Infrastructure alongside energy and water systems.

Data centres require air conditioning - lots of it - to protect the power-hungry servers from overheating and to maintain the architectural integrity of the buildings they occupy.

Ventilated aluminium wall cladding can help. A louvred aluminium facade can conceal the essential ACs while ensuring a sufficient supply of fresh air for cooling.

Renson's Linius system: protection from overheating

Renson’s Linius combines quality and aesthetics in a sustainable wall cladding system. The horizontal aluminium Linius slats form a new facade around the outer shell of the building.

This solution has been an established feature of Renson's range for many years and has been used for a wide variety of industrial and commercial projects. Renson has continued to optimise and further develop the louvres in response to ongoing feedback from the field.

Demountable facades for the future

Server technology is evolving at lightning speed. When building data centres, companies are already thinking about how to replace servers quickly and efficiently in the short term.

A fully demountable facade makes this complex process faster, simpler and safer. Renson's CSI department develops and tests new Linius concepts to provide a ready-made answer to this challenge.

The wide range of blade options ensures there is always a suitable type available, including large spans. A combination of blades (including acoustic or water-repellent types), supports and integrated doors consistently provide a customised solution - with a RAL colour of choice as the finishing touch.
