Submit your project to the RIBA Journal

Do you have a story you would like us to consider for publication? We look forward to receiving it - here's how

Do you want to submit a story to RIBA Journal to be considered for publication? Great, because we welcome submissions and look forward to seeing your latest projects, particularly completed buildings.

The process is simple.

How to submit a project:

Please send a selection of at least five images and a short description of the project with appropriate links via email to editorial.ribaj@riba.org. Please title the subject of the email 'Submit a project'.

At this stage of a submission we prefer the images to be sent as attachments to the email as jpeg files. They should be good quality images at least 1200 pixels on the longest side. The text should be around 200 words and be contained in the body of the email. If you need to send zipped images or links to filesharing sites, please send a few sample images in the email to give us an initial idea of your project.

Do let us know if you are offering the project to RIBA Journal first or as an exclusive, we are more likely to publish it if you are.

What happens next?

We will review each project sent to us and will get back in touch with you if we are interested in publishing it. This may take several weeks.

If we do get in touch with you to feature the story, we will likely ask for more photography, drawings, key information and project credits, as well as asking to arrange a date and time for one of our journalists or contributors to visit the project. Below you can find a list of material we need if we have decided to feature your project. We will also need you to agree to our terms and conditions that allow us permission to use the photography, drawings, other imagery and any written material we would like to publish. You can find this document below as well.

We look forward to receiving your projects!
