With over 25 years’ experience working with and understanding stone, Artorius Faber creates a wide range of bespoke British stone flooring, paving and interior structures. The company’s passion for the fabric of our landscape is reflected in a deep understanding of how various stones will react to different finishing techniques. Its on going experimentation with new combinations means clients receive the unique floor they desire.

At their site in Somerset, Artorius Faber covers the entire spectrum of stone supply and production from beginning to end: from sourcing block to cutting, shaping and finishing all in their factory. Due to the bespoke nature of the company, all products are made to order.

On top of the aforementioned production capabilities, an experienced project delivery and technical support team will consult and advise on selecting the best stone. Furthermore, the company provides large grouted panel samples, detailed drawings and renders.

Artorius Faber has also published two highly informative and inspirational references for those interested in working with stone. The Guide to Conservation Stones features a selection of stones best suited to residential and commercial conservation and restoration projects. The book outlines specialist services available, such as matching existing stonework and architectural detailing. The company’s Project Book brings together a wide selection of previous projects in a 250 page hardback demonstrating the versatility and beauty of British stone.
