Steven Plimmer head of marketing, commercial, RIBA
Steven has overall responsibility for marketing RIBA’s portfolio of print, digital and live media, advertising, recruitment, business and financial services products, including RIBA Journal. During his marketing career he has worked for several membership organisations on products including events and conferences, training, book publishing and retail and the development of digital platforms and websites across the technology, housing and architecture sectors.
Charmian Beedie marketing manager, commercial and publishing, RIBA
Charmian studied at The Bartlett (UCL) before moving into marketing. She is a chartered marketer with a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has worked across housing, publishing and insurance. She orchestrates and promotes the best of RIBA Journal projects to architects and the wider world. When not immersing herself in the world of architecture, Charmian sets off on long distance cycle tours to all four corners the world.
Vanessa Newman marketing executive, commercial and publishing, RIBA
Vanessa graduated in history and literature at the University of Essex before starting her career in marketing. Her marketing experience includes stints in publishing, technology and education. As well as being a passionate marketer, Vanessa has an interest in dress making and is a self-confessed book worm.
