Close collaboration between the local authority and architect has been rewarded with a bold architectural response. The layout of the three blocks makes the most of the context by reinforcing the urban form of the street, creating a courtyard at the rear and providing all flats with views.

The most distinctive feature is the triangular balconies, mostly south-facing and some with breathtaking views to the Thames beyond. These relate to living spaces on the south side with most bedrooms facing north. The brickwork is exceptional and the balconies on this robust, high-quality building are cleverly detailed.
