Elfin Kitchens has supplied more than 350 Premium Bespoke kitchens to Crown House, Sheffield - a purpose-built development of studio apartments in the private student accommodation sector. The 18,000m2 project for developer London and Scottish Student Housing was completed in August 2017.

Crown House is a nine-storey development made up of 355 studio apartments and 600m2 of amenity space. The apartments' design offers a blend of practicality and contemporary style and the developers were keen to find a high quality, durable kitchen in a complementary finish to match.

Elfin’s kitchens were specified for all the studio apartments and provide food preparation, storage and cooking facilities in a single compact space.

Each Premium Bespoke kitchen features a Studioline housing that brings wall cupboards, splashbacks and side panels together in one unit. The double-sided brushed stainless steel frame provides durability and a sleek finish.

The units incorporate appliances, including a refrigerator, sink and tap, plus a choice of solo or combination microwave, oven and grill. Additional features include soft-close drawers and doors, plus a choice of induction or ceramic hotplates with built-in safety cut-out timers.

An integrated consumer unit provides each studio apartment with electronic isolation for the kitchen, additional safety and a true ‘plug and play’ installation.

'We worked closely with Elfin to develop a high quality product in a durable finish that complemented our interior design,' said Darren Simmons, head of design and construction at London and Scottish. 'We are really pleased with the end result and the kitchens look great in the apartments.'

Elfin's Premium Bespoke range brings wall units, appliances, storage, sink, worktop and splashback into one space-saving unit.

Starting at 900mm wide up to 1500mm, compact kitchens from Elfin save space and offer great flexibility, with right or left-hand versions available, as well as hotplates, dishwashers, combi-ovens and additional storage units.

Elfin Kitchens continues to introduce new options to its range that are adaptable to any size and style of apartment, while providing the essential cooking and storage facilities needed for independent living. Its compact designs are perfect where space and budget are at a premium and full kitchen facilities with a durable finish are required. Its mini kitchens are ideal for any student or rented accommodation, office or retail work area that requires a space-saving solution.
