Italian studio PS+A has taken Ideal Standard's bold shades of the past and recast them to create dramatic contemporary washroom designs
Bathroom and washroom manufacturer Ideal Standard's new Atelier Collections, created in collaboration with Italian studio Palomba Serafini Associati (PS+A), marks a reset of the company's design philosophy.
Atelier Collections takes inspiration from iconic Ideal Standard products of the past to shape the bathrooms of the future. The collections' ceramics, brassware and furniture products are a combination of unique PS+A design, through its founder Roberto Palomba, and Ideal Standard’s manufacturing expertise.
Palomba has been designing innovative bathrooms for over 25 years and the range marks his appointment as chief design officer at Ideal Standard.
At the centre of the collection is the Conca range, which reimagines the iconic Ideal Standard washbasin, offering contemporary minimalist designs.
PS+A has created a new, bold palette that draws on Ideal Standard’s design heritage and reflects and defines new trends. The colours have been applied to the striking Ipalyss range of washbasins by Robin Levien. New shapes and sizes of the basin are also being introduced.
There are two new lines of stylish brassware mixer taps too - Conca and Joy - available in chrome and PVD finishes.
Atelier Collections products combine quality with an intuitive design that keeps an eye to the past while also meeting the practical and aesthetic requirements of a modern market. The bold designs work in harmony to allow complete customisation on every project.
