Paint & Paper Library has reformulated its Architects’ finishes range to make it suitable for every surface.

In a choice of sheen levels, from matt to high gloss, the finishes - all water-based - can be used in both interior and exterior projects without the need for a separate primer.

The revolutionary multi-surface adhesion formulations allow colour to be utilised across all surfaces within a space for a cohesive scheme that incorporates all elements.

A single tin of paint can be used to decorate walls, ceilings, woodwork, metalwork, uPVC and tiles with unparalleled toughness and durability.

Each Architects’ finish is available in the complete Paint & Paper Library palette, giving interior designers and architects complete freedom to achieve innovative, beautiful and practical decorating schemes.

'The new formulations will transform how we decorate,' says Andy Greenall, head of design at Paint & Paper Library.

'The finishes can be used for updating both wooden and uPVC front doors and windows and you can select any Paint & Paper Library shade in harmony with your design. The self-priming and durable nature of these formulations means they are washable and scrubbable so provide a practical as well as beautiful solution for residential and commercial projects.'

The Paint & Paper Library Architects' finishes

  • Architects’ Matt Completely scrubbable matt emulsion with excellent scuff and stain resistance, suitable for interior and exterior use. With an ultra-low sheen of 3 to 5 per cent, it provides a beautiful flat finish.
  • Architects’ Eggshell High-performance finish suitable for all interior and exterior woodwork, metalwork, furniture and radiators. Fully washable, it is ideal for use on kitchen and bathroom walls. Drying to a smooth low sheen of 10 to 20 per cent, it achieves a subtle, yet protective finish.
  • Architects’ Satinwood Self-priming satin finish particularly suited to high traffic areas and woodwork, including household joinery, wooden furniture, skirtings, doors, windows and kitchen cabinetry. Also suitable for exterior use, it achieves an elegant satin finish on front doors and exterior woodwork. With a subtle sheen of 30 to 35 per cent, it combines beauty with practicality.
  • Architects’ Gloss New to the Paint & Paper Library finish range, this water-based gloss has a sheen level of 85 per cent. It can be used on any surface, from radiators to walls and tiles for wall-to-wall, rich, durable colour. Tough, flexible and hardwearing, it is suitable for interior and exterior woodwork, furniture, metalwork and radiators. An excellent choice for front doors.
